Hysteresis performance of section steel reinforced concrete-filled rectangular stainless steel tubular columns

Abstract Due to high bearing capacity and excellent seismic performance, the section steel reinforced concrete-filled rectangular tube has been widely applied in engineering. The application of stainless for outer can improve durability performance members. In this study, ABAQUS software was used perform nonlinear analysis on tubular columns, numerical model validated against experimental data. mechanism parametric study hysteresis were conducted. These parameters mainly include: concrete strength, strength steel, ratio tube, axial compression ratio, slenderness ratio. results showed that: increasing significantly members, but little effect; decreases with ratio; when is smaller than 0.4, capacity. each material shows influence shape load–displacement skeleton; presents effect descending stage curve, larger steeper stage; curve shape, slenderness, less elastic stiffness, more gentle curve. Finally, a simplified hysteretic proposed, which exhibits good agreement finite element analysis.
